CANADIAN SNOWCROSS RACING ASSOCIATION Supporting Wasaga Beach SLEDFEST 2014!

Ken Avann from CSRA said he was excited to be attending SLEDFEST in Wasaga Beach. Avann commented, “It’s nice to see events for sledders and a place for them to race other than the trails... and finally, I can watch and enjoy an event without working!” Yes, the CSRA is a Pro Race, but if you never raced in your life, this is the circuit to start on. CSRA holds races all over Canada and is open to anyone who wants to race. From 5 to 55, CSRA welcomes all. Avann will have an Info Booth set up at SLEDFEST to answer questions about how to get into Snowcross. Look for the CSRA tent! During our discussion with Avann, he commented, “there are no more excuses for guys racing on trails. We give them Snowcross, you give them Drag Races and OFSC gives them trails to ride on... OTSFF ROCK STAR POLARIS RIG for people to check out along with their Championship Mod Sleds! Andre said he loves to support events like SLEDFEST, to show there a place for racing snowmobiles and to encourage sledders to “take it to the track... NOT the trails!” More exciting news from TEAM OTSFF ROCK STAR POLARIS! Six time Canadian CSRA Champion #93 Iain Hayden will make a stop from his busy race training schedule and join race fans on Beach Drive for a “meet and greet” and will be signing autographs! Iain says when he gets the chance... he loves to meet his fans and answer questions about racing. We want all to join us in welcoming Racing Royalty and wish Iain the best of luck all season! Working with the North American Snowmobile Drag Racing Association (NASDRA), Beach BOOSTER Group aims to bring a professionally organized and managed Snowmobile Drag Racing Event to our World Famous Beachfront. The event will provide a festival atmosphere on Beach Drive and appeal to families and visitors of all ages with entertainment, refreshments, displays and vendors. Participation from all will be welcomed as we provide a safe and controlled environment for snowmobiling, while allowing fun competition for families and recreational snowmobilers.

Beach BOOSTER and NASDRA will generate the support of local businesses including motels and restaurants and welcome thousands to The Beach early January and wow them with an experience on our beautiful beachfront. We know that this first year will be a success and Wasaga Beach SLEDFEST will become a premier Winter Event in The Beach!

·       200 pre-registered race participants expected for SLEDFEST event.

·       2,500 – 3,500 spectators expected.

Wasaga Beach SLEDFEST will be a two day event that will draw participants and spectators to Wasaga Beach and we will encourage all to stay at our local motels for two or three nights!
