Wasaga Beach Presents 12th season of Jazz in the Park

The Town of Wasaga Beach is happy to be celebrating the 12th season of Jazz in the Park.

Every Tuesday in July and August, residents and visitors to the community are welcome to join us for an entertaining evening of both traditional and modern jazz music.

Holly Haire-Ellis, Special Events Coordinator for the Town of Wasaga Beach commented that “I tried to focus on modern jazz while still providing spectators with some of their traditional favourites as well as keeping the majority of the performers from the Georgian Triangle area.”

The line-up for the jazz series includes:
July 3rd –         The Wayne Buttery Band
July 10th –       Georgian Sound Big Band
July 17th –       Fig Leaf
July 24th –       Not Affiliated Big Band
July 31st –       The Lisa Hutchinson Band

August 7th –    Toronto All Star Big Band
August 14th –  Regal Jazz Band
August 21st –   The Michael Grace Quartet
August 28th –  The Joe Huron Quartet

The performances take place at either the Oakview Wood Gazebo or the Rotary Band Shell both located at 1742 Mosley Street from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

What a Morning for Wildlife

NO, not the typical May 24 Wasaga Beach Wildlife!

First thing this morning, two deer slowing walked across the front between the deck and the flag pole.
Then later,  I hear this amazing "Trumpet" sound while working in the driveway, so walk around to see 4 Trumpeter Swans in front. Two took flight and one pair remained.
The Trumpeting sound was beautiful... as was the site of these two magnificent birds enjoying our bay
